Currently I teach private lessons at my home in the north end and downtown Edmonton at MacEwan’s Conservatory of Music. For more information contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I am Certified Master Teacher (CMT) with Estill Voice Training, Certified Ashtanga Yoga Teacher and a Reiki Master.
I provide workshops and masterclasses on belting or contemporary singing, how to project your speaking voice, musical theatre, and opera. My approach is based on the Estill model, in which I am a Certified Master Teacher. I am available to give short introductory workshops on Estill Voice Work. Try their website www.estillvoice.com for more information or read the wikipedia page Estill Voice Work! I also regularly adjudicate music festivals around the province of Alberta.
I am a member of Actor’s Equity. I have performed many comprimario roles for Edmonton Opera over the years – including St. Brioche in the Merry Widow, the Slave in Salome, and the messenger in Aida. I have self produced, directed and performed Casper in Amahl and the Night Visitors. With the local group Two One Way Tickets To Broadway I have performed Zaza/Albin in La Cage Aux Folles, First Officer Murdoch in Titanic, Ko Ko in the Mikado, and Beadle Bamford in Sweeney Todd.
I have also done solo work with local choirs, performed the part of Ben in the Telephone with CBC’s Wednesdays at Winspear. Over the years I have done many recitals which included works such as Die Schone Mullerin, Dichterliebe, and Songs of Travel.
Below are two videos from my performance in La Cage Aux Folles! Yes that is me in drag.
