Ronald Long Headshots-0027Click below to find my blog on switching from baritone to tenor!  Over the past 10 years I have slowly switched from baritone to tenor.  It took me a long time and so now I feel I should share what I have learned.

Private Lessons

Currently I teach private lessons at my home in the north end and downtown Edmonton at MacEwan’s Conservatory of Music.  For more information contact me at rml328@icloud.com.  I am an Estill Master Trainer (EMT) with Estill Voice Training, Certified Ashtanga Yoga Teacher and a Reiki Master.  Below are some videos from my YouTube Chanel. Be sure to subscribe!

I provide workshops and masterclasses on belting or contemporary singing, how to project your speaking voice, musical theatre, and opera.  My approach is based on the Estill model, in which I am a certified Estill Master Trainer.  I am available to give short introductory workshops on Estill Voice Work.  Try their website www.estillvoice.com  for more information or read the wikipedia page Estill Voice Work!  I also regularly adjudicate music festivals around the province of Alberta.

I am a member of Actor’s Equity.  I have performed many comprimario roles for Edmonton Opera over the years – including St. Brioche in the Merry Widow, the Slave in Salome, and the messenger in Aida.  I have self produced, directed and performed Casper in Amahl and the Night Visitors.  With the local group Two One Way Tickets To Broadway I have performed Zaza/Albin in La Cage Aux Folles, First Officer Murdoch in Titanic, Ko Ko in the Mikado, and Beadle Bamford in Sweeney Todd.

I have also done solo work with local choirs, performed the part of Ben in the Telephone with CBC’s Wednesdays at Winspear. Over the years I have done many recitals which included works such as Die Schone Mullerin, Dichterliebe, and Songs of Travel.

These are two videos of me performing in I Am Harvey Milk at the Winspear Centre in Edmonton!

Here are two more videos from my performance in La Cage Aux Folles!  Yes that is me in drag.
